For machines that aren’t smart themselves. You tell it what says the machine is running, and the tile does the rest: while it runs, the drum turns (or the dishwasher’s spray bobs) and it says when it started, with the power it draws if that is known. When it stops it shows Done in green for two hours, saying when it finished, and then Off, dimmed.

Homey doesn’t record when a machine started or stopped, so the tile remembers what it sees in this browser. A machine that was already running when the tile first saw it just says Running, without a start time. A plug that dips below the limit between wash steps is not counted as stopped until it has stayed low for three minutes.

The name in the header, up to 40 characters. Until you type one, the tile is named after the machine you chose (Washing machine, Dryer or Dishwasher), or says “Appliance” with any other icon.

State

What tells it is running

What says the machine is running: a Homey variable, any on/off or alarm reading of a device, or the power a plug draws going above a limit you choose. The picker shows what each would say right now. Until you set it, the tile shows Off.

How the machine is drawn: a washing machine, a dryer or a dishwasher with its own movement, or any icon from the library, which gets a ring around it while it runs. Until you choose, it is a washing machine.
