Buttons

A group of buttons: switch devices, start flows and moods, open dashboards.

Fits
Any dashboard: it isn’t tied to one device
Size
4 × 2 tiles, from 2 × 1 to 12 × 6

One tile with many buttons, in the order you add them. A button can switch a device on and off, set it to a value (dim to 30%, the blinds down, 18°), open its details or camera, start a flow, set a mood or open another dashboard.

A device that is on lights up, and a preset lights up while it is what the device is now. The line under the name says how the device is, like “On · 62%” or “Locked”. Lights, sockets, blinds, sensors and appliances get their own moving icon instead of a plain one. Flows and moods show whether they ran or failed. Buttons that can’t be used, like an unavailable device, are greyed out.

Options

Change these in the tile’s settings: Configure… on the tile in edit mode.

Buttons

Buttons

Add the devices, flows, moods and dashboards to show, up to 12, and put them in order. For each one you can set a label, a colour and an icon, and for a device what a tap does.

Look

A choice

How the buttons are drawn.

Default: Bold

  • Bold Default

Flows, moods and dashboards are solid blocks of colour. A device that is off is plain glass with a coloured icon, and fills with its colour when it is on.

  • Subtle

Quieter cards in the tile’s own surface, with the colour only on the icon. A device that is on gets a soft wash of its colour.

Show

A choice

What each button shows.

Default: Icon and name

  • Icon and name Default

The icon, the name and the line under it.

  • Name only

Only the name, for the most buttons in the least room.

  • Icon only

Only the icon, in small squares. Pick it for familiar buttons, like lights in a row.

Columns

A choice

How many buttons sit side by side.

Default: Auto

  • Auto Default

As many as fit, given the tile’s width. Resize the tile and the columns follow.

  • 1

One column, a button per row.

  • 2

    Two columns.

  • 3

    Three columns.

  • 4

    Four columns.

  • 6

Six columns, for a long row of icons.
