Energy flow

Where power goes right now: solar, grid, battery, car and house.

Fits
Any dashboard: it isn’t tied to one device
Size
6 × 5 tiles, from 3 × 3 to 12 × 8

A drawing of your home’s power: solar, the grid, the home battery, the car and the house, with lines between them that light up and move while power flows, quicker the more there is. It finds your parts by itself, and follows the meters you chose in Energy settings.

When your Homey has electricity prices, the price now sits in the header as a small chip, and the grid’s line takes the price’s colour while you draw power from it. Sending power back while the price is below zero turns that line red. Today’s totals sit underneath when the tile is tall enough.

Parts

Energy sources

The parts of the drawing: grid, solar, battery and car, and which readings count for each. Most homes need nothing here, because the tile finds them itself. Change it when a part is wrong, left out, or made of several devices that should add up, like two inverters.

On or off

What a tap does

What tapping the tile does. It can open a dashboard (as a page or a popup) or a flow. Until you choose, it does nothing.
