History chart

The history of readings, or of your energy and prices, with the totals under it.

Fits
Any dashboard: it isn’t tied to one device
Size
6 × 5 tiles, from 3 × 2.5 to 12 × 12

The history window of a device as a tile of its own. Pick up to six readings from any of your devices, such as the temperature indoors and out, or what the house uses, and see how they moved over the last hours, days or even a year. Your Homey’s energy and prices work too: the electricity used by the hour with the price over it, or a year of gas by the month.

The tile shows the lowest, average and highest, or for a meter what it used, its average per hour or day and the busiest one. Choices on the tile itself, like the range or the detail, are kept only while the page is open. A big tile shows everything, a wide strip puts the totals beside the chart, and a small one shows the chart with a button that steps through the ranges. It updates every minute. A reading that isn’t recorded says so.

Options

Change these in the tile’s settings: Configure… on the tile in edit mode.

Readings

Readings

The readings to chart, up to six, each with a name that starts as its device’s name. They can also be your Homey’s energy (electricity, solar, gas and water used) and prices: energy draws as bars by the hour, day or month, a price as steps on its own scale. Energy comes from your Homey’s own reports; prices from those Tiledash keeps, as far back as your plan keeps history. Also the range the chart starts at, from 6 hours to a year.

Show

A choice

What the chart shows when the tile opens. You can still change it on the tile.

Default: Usage for meters, else the average

  • Usage for meters, else the average Default

Meters show what they used, anything else its average. The sensible choice for most tiles.

  • Usage (what a meter used)

What a meter used in each hour or day. For energy, water or gas meters. For other readings it shows the average.

  • The meter’s reading

The meter’s own reading, the running total, over time. For other readings it shows the average.

  • Average

The average of each stretch of time. The calm picture of a temperature.

  • Lowest

The lowest reading in each stretch of time, for how cold it got.

  • Highest

The highest reading in each stretch of time, such as the power peaks.

Several readings

A choice

What to do when you picked more than one reading.

Default: A line each

  • A line each Default

A line for each reading, in its own colour, with a figure for each under the chart.

  • Their total

One line with the readings added up, like the total of three plugs.

  • Their average

One line with the average of the readings, like the temperature of a floor.

Colour

A colour

The colour of the chart. Until you choose one, it takes the dashboard’s accent colour.

Taps

The tile

What a tap does

What tapping the tile does. It can open a dashboard (as a page or a popup) or a flow. Until you choose, it does nothing.
