Dashboard button

A button that opens another dashboard, as a page, a popup or a panel.

Use it to link your dashboards together: a home screen with a button for upstairs, the garden or the energy overview. The whole tile is the button.

In a thin row it is a strip with the icon, the name and a small arrow. On a taller tile it becomes a card, with the icon at the top and the name large below. A small arrow or symbol in the corner tells how it opens. Until you pick a dashboard it is greyed out and says “Choose a dashboard”.

Change these in the tile’s settings: Configure… on the tile in edit mode.

The dashboard the button opens. Its name is shown on the button unless you give a label.

Default: Open the dashboard

  • Open the dashboard Default

    It replaces this dashboard, as a page. A wall panel turns to it. This is the normal choice for a menu of rooms.

  • Open as a popup

    It opens over this dashboard in a window, and closing it takes you back. Good for a quick look at a camera or a few switches.

  • Open as a side panel

    It slides in as a panel beside this dashboard, which stays visible behind it.

  • Open full screen

    It opens over everything, using the whole screen, and closing it takes you back.

The name on the button. Left empty, it uses the dashboard’s own name.

Icon

An icon

The icon on the button. A dashboard icon unless you pick another.

Fill with the accent colour

On or off

Fills the button with the dashboard’s accent colour, like a flow button, so it stands out from the tiles around it. Off, it is a quiet button on the tile’s own surface.
